The House Of Fun
An afternoon at the Clubhouse Marbella proved an eclectic mix of sporting endeavours, fab food and an unparalleled level of service, not to mention cocktails to die for.
If you were wondering whether it’s worth a visit, the answer is an overwhelming yes.
The Clubhouse sits just beneath La Sala Puerto Banús, right in the heart of Marbella’s entertainment scene. The space itself is vast, spread across 900 square metres, and the investment level is apparent at every turn.
This isn’t your standard sports bar.
With over fifty HD screens and clever Zapping technology, every seat feels like a front-row view, no matter what match or event you’re following. It’s clear from the moment you walk in that this venue has been designed to keep people engaged long after the first round of drinks.
What really makes The Clubhouse stand out is...
the sheer variety of the sporting offerings. Once we’d settled in, we quickly realised this is a venue built for interaction. There are TrackMan golf simulators for those who fancy honing their swing without risking the inevitable “golf tan”, multi-sport simulators that range from football to ice hockey, interactive dartboards with digital scoring, shuffleboards, state of the art formula 1 simulators and even a poker table! At one point we found ourselves throwing darts while another group were shouting encouragement at their friends on the golf simulators at the same time as some formula 1 fans were about to take the chequered flag. The result is an atmosphere that feels lively and communal without ever descending into chaos.
Once we had tried our hand at all of the various offerings we came to a collective conclusion that we would have a better excuse for being rubbish at them if we were to partake in some light libation, which we duly did in the form of mixologist Alex’s creative cocktails. After a
Pornstar Martini and Strawberry Daquiri
were duly dispatched, we hungrily indulged in a selection of sporty snacks and light bites which included Cheesy Nachos with Guacamole and Jalapeños, Crispy Honey and Sesame Chicken Wings, Neapolitan Meatballs with toasty mozzarella and a wonderful Vegetarian Pizza.
With satisfied appetites and slight light-headedness there was only the “song room” left to experience. Our photographers choice of Madness’s “welcome to the house of fun” seemed very apt and a perfect conclusion to this spectacular sporty experience.
