Andalusian Dream
From the moment I first set eyes on Andalucia, the beauty of this land has been a constant source of inspiration for me. The extraordinary light that kisses this part of earth and the incredible colours of the sunrise and sunset. It’s difficult to articulate the intensity of the pink hue to match the sensations it invokes.
The architecture with diverse influences, surprising shapes and structures, the play between light and shadows, how the light filters through the lush vegetation – all of which serve as the inspiring muse for my syntography.
Shaping feelings and sensations in this way feels like a medicine, a hymn to the beauty that inspires me everyday. I fell in love with Andalucia from the first moment, she is so generous with her beauty, light and warm weather.
Interpreting this beauty and sentiment using generative AI in the creative process makes me almost feel better. It frees me to visualise, knowing I can never really capture the splendour I experience everyday.
Pink and green are two recurring colours that characterise various spaces, conveying a sense of protection, a welcoming that surprised me. Coming from Trieste, an Italian city with a very different architecture where the main influence was grey and white hues.
Nature has always inspired me. Holding a power over me. I seek it and always feel embraced. She’s like a wise being that guides and balances me.
It has been and continues to be greatly inspiring to see and live in places where nature has its own significant presence, cared for as much as the structures that host us. For me, it’s a sign of great civilization and intelligence—a glimpse into the future.
